A U.S.-based company that is developing an innovative content-sharing platform to help users connect with like-minded people, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for writing clean, well-organized code that adheres to the best coding principles. The company’s platform has gained a diverse user base spanning over multiple continents by enabling users to join and build communities. During their Series F round, the company managed to secure $1.1bn+ in funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST/EST/MST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and maintaining new Go back-end services
- Take full responsibility for a project or feature
- Participate and help the team to improve the scalability of the platform’s infrastructure
- Contribute to the development of our cutting-edge testing and ad-serving frameworks
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
- 3+ years of experience working with programming languages like Go/Golang, Scala, and Java
- Strong mastery of the design of large-scale back-end services
- Interest in the advertising industry and a good grasp of client needs is nice to have
- Nice to have some knowledge of distributed systems
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
