As a Web/Drupal Developer, you will work closely with our esteemed government customers, alongside a team of dedicated developers and support personnel. Your role will involve leveraging your proficiency in current and emerging web-based technologies, with a focus on Drupal, to create innovative solutions that exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
Perform Drupal and/or PHP development, migration, and testing across multiple public websites.
Transform client specifications into comprehensive requirements for application enhancements.
Engage with clients to discuss technical and architectural topics, exploring options such as cloud-service environments, best practices, enhancement recommendations, and web design considerations.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to effectively manage customer expectations for all software releases.
Implement software with a strong emphasis on security best practices.
Assist in project planning and estimation alongside technical staff and customers.
Follow industry best practices, including Agile and change management processes, while embracing DevOps concepts and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and proactively seek out new tools that can be leveraged to enhance our work.
Offer valuable suggestions to improve programming techniques, applications, documentation, and client deliverables.
Engage in problem definition and solution implementation tailored to our clients' unique needs.
Continuously strive to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our web services delivery to our esteemed clients.
Required Skills
Possess a minimum of 3 years of IT professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in developing open-source web applications for at least 1 year.
Proficiency in triaging, troubleshooting, and developing source code using LAMP Stack architecture, with some exposure to Drupal.
Familiarity with server-side and browser scripting.
Experience working with various SQL database platforms (e.g., MySQL), web servers, and environments.
Strong knowledge and expertise in cross-browser compatibility issues (CSS, JavaScript, DHTML).
Demonstrated willingness, interest, and aptitude to learn new technologies and skills.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Positive attitude and a customer-focused mindset, actively seeking workable solutions for our valued customers.
Experience with Drupal 7 and/or 8+.
Familiarity with WordPress.
Proficiency in operating within a Linux command-line environment.
