Dear Applicant! We are currently seeking an experiencedJava Script/Type Script Developer with MS Excel 365 API experienceto join our clients team of developers. Our client offers a flexible and inclusive work environment, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.

Key Job Characteristics:

  • Location: fully remote possible (only Europe-based candidates)
  • 3 months +
  • Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Excel-based applications, tools, and add-ins using JavaScript/TypeScript and the MS Excel 365 API.
  • Create custom functionalities and automate Excel processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Integrate Excel with external systems, databases, and APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Optimize Excel solutions for performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest Excel and JavaScript/TypeScript development trends, best practices, and API updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of Excel solutions into the larger ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a JavaScript/TypeScript Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ features.
  • Experience with the MS Excel 365 API and its usage for Excel development.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies
  • Proficient in RESTful APIs and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries
  • Experience with Office Add-in development.
  • Knowledge of data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).
