A fast-growing company that is creating decentralized, interactive Web3 experiences that foster vibrant, valuable communities, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for creating, scaling, and maintaining reliable production systems. The company's intuitive community engagement solutions built on web3 is enabling innovative brands to unleash the power of their community. This is an exciting opportunity for developers who are eager to work with shifting priorities and obscure requirements while developing a world-class product.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in key infrastructure, data modeling, and database design decisions
- Create back-end systems that are scalable and secure to guarantee the best performance and data integrity
- To ensure excellent code quality, collaborate with other programmers and perform peer code reviews
- Investigate and promptly fix errors and problems with the back-end
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
- 5+ years of experience working with programming languages like Go, Rust, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Detailed knowledge of at least one strongly-typed back-end or systems programming language
- Extensive working knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Thorough understanding of data modeling, schema design, and popular database terms including constraints, atomicity, consistency, transactions, foreign keys, and indexes
- Prior knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure for cloud infrastructure
- Work with cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, and EKS with a track record of success
- In-depth knowledge of message queues, such as Kafka, SQS, PubSub, etc., is required when developing asynchronous processing systems
- Extensive knowledge of setting up testing frameworks for back-end system integration and unit testing.
- Strong background in developing and deploying REST APIs
- Experience with security best practices for issues like JWTs, role-based access control, authentication, and authorization
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools like CircleCI, GitHub Actions, etc., and practical knowledge of building effective code development
- Fluent in spoken and written English communication
