Who You’ll Be Collaborating With

What You’ll Be Helping Achieve

You will be bringing a development support for a web-based platform integrating with other systems at the FDA, with a particular focus on Drupal-based applications.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Drupal-based applications
  • Architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture as needed
  • Advanced site-building including deep familiarity with Drupal core and contrib module functionality
  • Build and maintain custom Drupal modules
  • Update and maintain custom Drupal themes
  • Manage code repository using Git
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Working in an agile environment and following the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Collaborate with both web developers and web designers/UI designers
  • Partner with DevOps and other roles in order to support infrastructure needs
  • Translate client requests into requirements document and task list

How You’ll Excel In Your Role

  • Knowledge of FDA
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users

Required Experience

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Drupal-based application development
  • Drupal site development, maintenance, theming, and deployment
  • Git, Composer, and other command line tools
  • Advanced site-building using core and contrib modules
  • Building and maintaining custom Drupal modules
  • Demonstrated experience leading requirements gathering sessions, analyzing business flows, and documenting user needs

Preferred Experience

  • Public Trust Clearance
  • FDA experience

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted forany applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 to $170,000.
