A NASDAQ-listed company that is developing an innovative platform and cloud database for applications that are critically important to meet business requirements, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of finding opportunities for improvement by reviewing and assessing the security policies and procedures. To make it simpler for developers and architects to create, distribute, and use modern apps, the company is creating a flexible cloud database platform. The company has managed to secure more than $250mn in funding so far.
Job Responsibilities:
- Help in conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
- Take part in incident reaction efforts and aid in creating mitigation measures
- Analyze network traffic and keep an eye out for any unusual or prospective threats
- Work with cross-functional teams to address security concerns and put best practices into action
- Investigate new dangers, trends, and technology in cybersecurity
- As required, assist the group with general administrative chores
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Prolific experience working in a Cybersecurity role
- Strong comprehension of the fundamental concepts and procedures of cybersecurity
- Familiarity with firewalls, security technology, and network protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both individually and collaboratively
- Solid understanding of different operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Nice to have some knowledge of programming languages like Python
- Prior experience working with cybersecurity technologies like Metasploit or Wireshark is desirable
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
