The Payments Regulation, Money Movement squad is responsible for the movement of money from an Etsy buyer to seller. They are working with payment regulations and evolving how money is routed in the most efficient, compliant and cost saving way, globally.
About The Role
In this role, you will touch all parts of the Etsy web stack, which is primarily PHP with some data analysis using MySQL. You'll need to think hard about the Etsy payments eco system, payments processors, database sharding, replication, performance, stability, metrics, integration resiliency and more! You will learn and iterate in a world full of high impact changes to the Etsy payments platform on a global scale.

- JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)

- HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $55 – $63/hr

What you’ll be working on
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- 2 or more years of PHP experience, preferably in an agile environment
- Ability to write basic SQL queries for fetching and analysing transactional data
- Comfort using Agile methods, like picking up stories/tasks from a project (Jira) board
- Passionate about delivering clean, readable and tested code
- Ability to juggle the responsibilites of pushing code with monitoring and dashboard inspecting
- This request will support the team while an admin is away on leave and is unlikely to extend.
- This role is eligible for a hybrid work mode (partially in office and partially remote). Candidates should be located in Ireland and available to work standard hours (either 10a-6p or 9a-5p).
